Then join Shimmy’s fun & relaxed Yoga Basics Workshop created for students new to Yoga & for those looking to gain a deeper understanding of the fundamental philosophy and foundational postures that the physical practice of Yoga is built upon.
Combining practice, demonstration and discussion, YOGA 101 will give you the opportunity to delve into the principles of alignment not always covered in regular yoga classes. You will have the chance to explore Pranayama, the method of breathing to efficiently to enhance both your Asana (postures) practice and everyday life.
To seal the workshop you will combine all the elements through a sequence of flowing Sun Salutations, basic standing & seating poses, before preparing for Savasana (conscious relaxation) through a heart-opening backbend & a stimulating inversion.
The workshop will leave you quipped with the understanding & confidence to continue onto Beginners or maybe even Open Level Yoga classes!!
